This adults-only hotel, featuring eight rooms, is situated on a 100-foot sea cliff along the Hāmākua Coast, approximately 11 miles north of Hilo. Formerly known as the Palms Cliff House Inn, the property sprawls across 25 picturesque acres. Following a $1.5 million renovation, co-owners Eric and Lori Lochtefeld aim to fulfill the demand for upscale lodging in the region, offering a “luxe meets laid back” atmosphere.

Hāmākua Hotel provides guests with a unique experience that includes access to award-winning amenities. Each room is equipped with private oceanfront lānai, flat-screen smart TVs, and complimentary WiFi. Guests can indulge in a six-course seasonal menu crafted by Michelin Bib Gourmand award-winning chef Edward Delling-Williams. Additional offerings include the innovative Proto mini hologram units in each room, a Yurts Spa for wellness treatments, and an oceanfront infinity pool slated to open later this year. Nightly rates start at $599, encompassing gourmet dining experiences and a range of luxurious amenities.
