Hyatt Hotels and Shebandowan Holdings, S.A. have opened the first phase of Hotel La Compañía del Valle, a luxury retreat in Panama’s Valle de Antón. Part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, the hotel currently offers 40 guestrooms and suites, with an additional 30 set to open by May 2025. Nestled within the crater of an extinct volcano, approximately 50 miles west of Panama City, the property provides guests with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and rich biodiversity. Designed to blend elegance with wellness, the hotel features a sculpture park with over 200 art pieces, an 18,000-square-foot spa, and a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, horseback riding, and pickleball. Dining options include multiple restaurants led by Executive Chef Patrice Jaumon, known for his modern interpretation of Panamanian cuisine.
Hotel La Compañía del Valle provides more than 11,000 square feet of event space, making it an ideal venue for weddings, corporate meetings, and social gatherings. With room rates starting at $325 per night, guests can enhance their stay by exploring both the historic charm of Hotel La Compañía in Casco Antiguo and the tranquility of Valle de Antón, and transportation is available between the two properties.
