Capital One Travel, in collaboration with boutique vacation rental providers Boutiq and AvantStay, has unveiled a new offering aimed at elevating the travel experience for its cardholders. This marks the first foray into vacation rentals for Capital One Travel, powered by Hopper, and is exclusive to Venture X, Venture X Business, Venture, and Spark Miles cardholders.
The upscale vacation rentals, initially available only in the United States, are accessible through Capital One Travel's Premier Collection and Lifestyle Collection, which also feature hotel accommodations. Notably, Hopper does not contribute to the vacation rental inventory. Cardholders booking through the Premier and Lifestyle collections will earn five miles per dollar spent, along with additional perks such as $100 and $50 experience credits, respectively. These credits can be utilized for various amenities, including pre-arrival grocery orders, mid-stay cleaning services, and meals prepared by on-site chefs. Furthermore, Venture X cardholders have the added benefit of applying a $300 Capital One travel credit towards vacation rentals booked through the Premier Collection.
The introduction of vacation rentals by Capital One comes amidst a competitive landscape in the U.S. travel industry, with major credit card companies like American Express, Chase, and Citi expanding their offerings. American Express Travel, for instance, features vacation rentals under its Select Homes + Retreats program.
Capital One's vacation rental debut encompasses over 1,000 properties, highlighting luxurious accommodations in sought-after destinations. Examples include a lavish 9-bedroom estate from AvantStay in Coachella, California; a charming 5-bedroom alpine ski property from Boutiq in Telluride, Colorado; and a spacious 3-bedroom apartment with a gourmet chef's kitchen from AvantStay in Nashville, Tennessee.
Commenting on the partnership, Rena Pacheo-Theard, CEO of Boutiq, expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to introduce their offerings to a broader audience of travelers. She said, "We're hyper-focused on the quality and making sure that we uphold all of our responsibilities as part of the deal. "But we're also just really excited that Boutiq is going to be out there in the world for more travelers who may never have heard of us. And that's a really big opportunity that we're very grateful for."
Capital One's collaboration with Boutiq and AvantStay underscores its commitment to providing exceptional travel experiences for its cardholders, further solidifying its position in the competitive travel rewards market.
