Hilton, in partnership with American Express and 211 LA, has provided much-needed support to families impacted by the recent Los Angeles wildfires. The companies donated 20,000 room nights at Hilton-branded hotels, offering temporary accommodations to over 5,000 adults and nearly 2,000 children. This initiative, which ran from mid-January to early February 2025, allowed evacuees to stay at no charge while they sought longer-term housing. With the help of 211 LA, the program booked rooms at more than 160 Hilton properties across California, providing immediate relief to those displaced by the fires. This partnership demonstrates Hilton and American Express’s commitment to stepping up when their communities need them most.
In addition to offering shelter, Hilton went beyond traditional hotel accommodations to create a welcoming environment for evacuees. At The Beverly Hilton, meeting rooms were transformed into “comfort zones” where families could relax and unwind, while pet-friendly areas were created for those with animals. The hotel also served as a donation hub, providing essential items to those in need. At Hilton Garden Inn LAX Airport/El Segundo, a community-driven donation drive resulted in an outpouring of support, providing displaced guests with clothing, toiletries, and other necessities. Hilton’s commitment to hospitality during this challenging time highlights how corporate partnerships can play a crucial role in helping communities recover from disasters.
