This holiday season, Sir Richard Branson is opening the doors of his exclusive Caribbean retreat, Necker Island, to travelers around the world. For the first time, individuals can book private rooms on the pristine 74-acre paradise, a privilege previously reserved for those fortunate enough to secure holiday buyouts or receive personal invitations from Branson himself. Necker Island General Manager, James Basson, expressed the uniqueness of this opportunity, stating, “This year, we’re inviting travelers from around the world to experience something very special to close out the year and celebrate 2023.”
Available on selected dates from November 18 to 25 and December 11 to 26, rooms in Branson's Virgin Limited Edition resort collection start at $5,400 and $5,850, respectively. The all-inclusive package covers lodging, meals, premium spirits, roundtrip boat transfers from Virgin Gorda or Beef Island airports, water sports, and children's activities. Notably, the price tag ensures exclusivity, as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day departures are prohibited.
Necker Island, a haven known for hosting celebrities such as Kate Winslet, Harry Styles, and Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, is a tropical paradise boasting private white sand beaches, glorious swimming coves, and 74 acres of unspoiled nature and wildlife. With only 24 accommodations on the island, guests can enjoy the luxury of space and privacy, ensuring that sunbathing remains an intimate experience.
Holiday festivities on Necker Island promise to be extraordinary, featuring the "Get Grinched Beach Olympics" and a visit from Santa Claus. The evening brings sophistication with "The Nutcracker" ball, offering an elegant fusion of dining and dancing. Alternatively, guests can groove to seasonal beats at a DJ's after-party. The Necker Squids Club ensures a day filled with activities for kids, including guided wildlife interactions, pool time, tennis, games, and creative endeavors like cookie, sushi, and pirate hat making. Adults, too, can channel their inner Captain Jack Sparrow after enjoying water activities like kitesurfing, paddleboarding, and kayaking.
As the sun sets over the Caribbean, guests can savor sunset drinks by the pool before indulging in a customized dinner experience either in the Great Room with its breathtaking views or on the sandy shores. The island's exclusivity, coupled with the personalized offerings, promises an unforgettable festive season.
James Basson acknowledges that Necker Island primarily operates for buyouts, and the availability of individual room bookings during the holidays is a rare occurrence. However, this year, the team is excited to provide travelers with a truly special and festive experience on the glamorous Necker Island, marking a departure from the norm. With its limited capacity and exclusive amenities, Necker Island beckons those seeking a luxurious and secluded escape to celebrate the holiday season in style.
