On July 16, 2024, OpenTable, a leading restaurant technology provider, and Visa, a prominent digital payments leader, announced a new collaboration to offer exclusive dining benefits. The OpenTable and Visa Dining Collection will provide eligible Visa cardholders privileged access to high-demand restaurant reservations and special events at over 500 US, Canada, and Mexico restaurants by 2025. Initially available in Los Angeles and Chicago, the program will expand to include more cities and establishments, featuring a diverse range of dining options from MICHELIN-starred venues to local favorites.
The partnership leverages OpenTable's global restaurant reservation platform, services over 60,000 restaurants and 1.7 billion bookings annually, and Visa's extensive digital payment network. Visa Infinite and Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders will enjoy early access to prime reservations and unique culinary experiences, with further eligibility and city expansions planned. This initiative aims to enhance dining experiences while supporting both renowned and independent restaurants across North America.
