Consistently impressive with their service and attention to every little detail, on a rainy evening, the staff catered to our desire to sit out on the beautifully flora lined terrace with a direct view of the sea. They positioned our table under the awning, setup for place settings and lit a candle in the middle.
Each dish was simply perfect. From the pasta Bolognese to the grilled octopus to the fish in tomato and capers sauce, the flavors were fresh and rich conjuring up thoughts of how Italy’s ingredients cannot be replicated in any other part of the world.
Earlier in the day we had pizza from the same restaurant and it was hands down one the best pizzas we ever had with a thin crispy crust, tomato and mozzarella melted and balanced together – not too heavy and not too salty.
The bartender did not disappoint and was ready to serve at any point in the day. In the afternoon and early evening the Aperol Spritz was a popular choice and the straight prosecco was a close second. With meals, the wait staff had a nice selection of local Sicilian wines, both red and white.
With a view of the sea and surrounding cliffside, the restaurant terrace was always elegant and the servers were always well dressed in their white shirts and navy blue pants. Coming down the stairs to the dining level, the hostess would greet us and always seemed to have the perfect table for us.
