Montecito, CA Series: Rosewood Miramar Beach Offers a Broad Beachfront Stay

Lodge & Dine awarded Rosewood Miramar Beach a 5-star rating. Set directly on the beach with the Santa Ynez Mountains behind it, the property combines immediate shoreline access with enough scale and variety to function as more than a typical resort stay.

The estate is designed around a large lawn that opens toward the water, with brick paths connecting the different parts of the property. Beach Rooms and Suites sit just above the sand, while Bungalow Rooms and Suites are set farther back with more privacy and mountain views. Lanai guest rooms overlook the gardens. Inside, the design stays comfortable and functional, with bathrooms that are well appointed without feeling overly decorative.

Wellness amenities include Sense, A Rosewood Spa, the only Forbes Five-Star spa in Santa Barbara, along with a gym that includes both indoor equipment and an outdoor workout area.

The property also includes two separate pool areas: a high-end infinity pool reserved for adults and a separate family pool with an adjacent ice cream shop. Beach service is steady and well organized, handling chairs and other logistics without much delay. A train passes through the property several times a day, but it reads more as a quirk of the site than a serious interruption.

Dining options are varied enough to support a full weekend on the property. Caruso’s serves coastal Italian food at the water's edge, including "FronteMare" communal seafood dinners prepared beachside. For active guests, the gym includes an outdoor workout space, and the "Miramar Surf Club" offers a direct connection to local surf culture.

Service was attentive across the board, from the front desk to the housekeeping teams. The combination of the diverse room types, the proximity to the beach, and the variety of bars and shops makes the Rosewood Miramar Beach easy to navigate and highly functional for long-term stays.
